My background
I am a French native and have been living in the Pittsburgh area for 15 years with my
husband and two sons.
In the year 2000, I started teaching French as a volunteer in various grades at my sons’
school. When I lost my job in 2002 as a software engineer, I decided to concentrate my work on the Education field. I
began with private tutoring and later that year I was hired as a High School teacher.
I am proud to have started my business as a private tutor. Teaching is an extremely rewarding
experience.

My Teaching Services
I currently teach French to High School students at Oakland Catholic, in the University district of Pittsburgh.
As a private tutor, I give lessons to students whose age ranges from thirteen to adult,
and whose level varies from beginner to advanced. I give either 45-minute or 1-hour lessons, depending on age and availability.
I do mostly conversational, and as we progress, I introduce basic grammar. Since French grammar is rather complicated, everyone
does much better with conversational, and it is much more fun to be able to say short sentences soon in the process.
Those who are already taking French in school or in college and need to come up to speed
on their current curriculum can also benefit from my tutoring. I work with the textbook and help with the understanding of
the lessons through various exercises.
I prefer giving lessons outside my home. My main constraint is to make sure that I pick
my sons up on time after their school's dismissal.
