 A. Late arrivals

If the student is late for any lesson, it will end at its regularly scheduled time. The teacher will wait for the student for fifteen minutes, and then leave. In all cases, payment for the session will be due in full (payable at the next lesson or, if the lessons are prepaid, deducted from the prepaid amount).

 B. Cancellations

A cancellation notice should be given at least 12 (twelve) hours prior to the lesson. If not so canceled, the amount due for the session will be paid in full (payable at the next lesson or, if the lessons are prepaid, deducted from the prepaid amount).  In any case, the student should always let the teacher know of his/her inability to take the lesson. When canceling or rescheduling a class, please call my home number at 412-795-9670. If you do send me something by email, know that I will always acknowledge it and reply. If I don't, it means I did not get the email. Cancellations should remain an exception and more than four cancellations in a row will result in the termination of this agreement (unless otherwise agreed with the teacher). The student will then forfeit the deposit.

C. Termination of lessons

The student should notify the teacher of his/her intention to terminate the agreement at least one week in advance. He/she should take 1 more week worth of lessons and then close the contract. If the notice is less than 1 week, or if the student does not take all of his/her lessons, he/she will forfeit the deposit.
Example: if the student takes 2 lessons per week, he/she should give his/her notice at least 2 lessons before ending the contract.

D. Long vacations

In case of long vacations (more than two weeks), the teacher should be notified at least 1 week in advance: the student and teacher will agree on a resuming date, and the teacher will keep the weekly lesson times of the student available at his/her return. If the student does not resume his/her lessons at the agreed upon date, the agreement will be terminated and the student will forfeit the deposit.

E. Teaching material

Any reproduction or unauthorized use by the student of any third party is strictly forbidden and protected under the laws of Copyright. Legal actions will be pursued in case of breach of this agreement. The teacher is not required to provide the student with any kind of teaching material. If any teaching material is required, it will be solely at the student's expense.
